YouTube algorithm mistakenly links Notre Dame fire with 9/11
Mail Online reports that YouTube's fact-checking algorithm accidentally tagged live broadcasts of the Notre Dame Cathedral fire with information about the infamous 9/11 attacks.
The live broadcast on YouTube by broadcaster France 24 was tagged with an Encyclopedia Britannica entry about the 2001 attacks.
The blaze erupted in the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organisation (Unesco) world heritage landmark in the French capital on Monday, 15 April 2019.
