CCC to acknowledge matter between North West FM, Kenny Setzin
On 26 July 2018, the Complaints and Compliance Committee (CCC) will hear a matter between North West FM and Kenny Setzin, who is the radio station's founding shareholder and a non-executive chairman of the board.
Setzin lodged the complaint, which relates to the allegations of a hostile take-over of the radio station by Motswako Media Group, on 11 June 2018. The complaint further relates to the alleged amendment in shareholding and management control, news and current affairs, and sales of North West FM without following Independent Communications Authority of South Africa's (Icasa) regulatory processes.
The two parties will appear before the CCC at Icasa's head office in Sandton on 26 July 2018.
