R2K to hold media freedom panel discussion on Black Wednesday
Right2Know (R2K) Western Cape will be hosting a panel discussion on media freedom in commemoration of Black Wednesday at the Isivivana Centre in Khayelitsha, Cape Town. The panel discussion is being held in partnership with AIDC, AmaBhungane, and Worker's World Media Production.
Forty years after the apartheid government clamped down on dissent, R2K intends to reflect on the current challenges that the media and community movements face when it comes to censorship.
