Khalo Matabane's The Number debuts at 42nd TIFF
Khalo Matabane's The Number made its premiere at the 42nd Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF) in Canada. The film is based on Jonny Steinberg's nonfiction book, The Number and was filmed in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal.
Matabane presented the film alongside lead actors Mothusi Magano, Presley Chweneyagae, and Warren Masemola, producer Carolyn Carew and executive producer Anant Singh. The South African Consul General in Toronto Nyameko Goso was also in attendance.
The Number was produced by Born Free Media and Videovision Entertainment; its South African release is scheduled for early 2018.
