Siba's My Table receives Gourmand World Cookbook Award
Siba Mtongana received The International Food Show award at the Gourmand World Cookbook Awards, which was held in Yantai, China. The award acknowledges cookbook authors and publishers who have achieved culinary media or television on an international level.
Siba's Table is aired on the Food Network and is broadcast in 130 countries across Africa, Europe, the US, the Middle East, Australia, and Asia. Mtongana is also the first South African to have her own show on The Cooking Channel, which reaches 60 million households in the US.
Mtongana received the award for the self-published book My Table, which became a bestseller cookbook at Woolworths. Mtongana was given the Country Recognition Special Award for South Africa; this allows her to carry the ‘Best In The World' badge.
