MTN Media Woman of the Year: Libby Lloyd
Libby Lloyd, CEO of the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA), was named MTN Media Woman of the Year 2005, as decided by The Media magazine's editorial board. Finalists also included Talk Radio 702 presenter, Jenny Crwys-Williams; Daily Dispatch editor, Phylicia Oppelt; SABC Television Airtime Sales GM, Clare O'Neil; and Beeld GM, Lucille van Niekerk. The MTN Rising Star award, given annually to a female media professional under the age of 30, this year went to 27-year-old Tembisa Gebeda, presenter and producer on SAfm and SABC Africa.
