KFC flash mob at Idols season eight Soweto auditions
Following a record number of entrees in Johannesburg, Durban and Cape Town this year, the final auditions for this year's Season eight Idols were held on Saturday, 25 February, at the Walter Sisulu Hall, in Kliptown Soweto. Adding to the hype and the nerves on the day was a well played out flashmob, organised by sponsor KFC South Africa and successfully performed by the Mzansi Youth Choir.
Singing a Justin Bieber remix along with Bill Withers' 'Lean On Me' and popularised South African folk song 'Shosholoza'. The hopeful participants for the auditions cheered, clapped and sang along to the choir's performance.
After an extremely successful collaboration in 2011, KFC South Africa has once again partnered with SA Idols this year to be a part of South Africa's popular singing competition, bringing viewers what will most certainly be another season filled with So Good moments.
