Tails wag at the African Tails Pedigree 2011 calendar launch
R45 200 raised for African Tails
On Wednesday 6 October, VIP guests including Josie Borain, Soli Philander, Ferdinand Rabie and Steven Freedman celebrated the launch of the African Tails Pedigree® 2011 Calendar at Wembley Square, with MC Richard Hardiman.
Together with African Tails; a phenomenal charity which sterilizes and rescues street dogs in the townships of Cape Town, Pedigree is championing the cause of dog adoption and is very proud to sponsor the calendar for the third year running.
The 2011 calendar, photographed by Josie Borain, celebrates the beauty of African Tails' rescue dogs as they modelled specially designed doggy jewellery by designer Frida Hulten.
Canapés and drinks were served as guests enjoyed a night of entertainment and wagging tails from the "models" as they strutted for the crowds.
Through generous purchases of the calendar and the auctioning of the doggy jewellery held by Andrew Koch of Claremarts, an amazing R45 200 was raised for African Tails to fund future sterilizations and rescues.
