RMB WineX

October 2010 was again wine blockbuster month as 14 500 Gauteng wine lovers converged on the Sandton Convention Centre over the three nights of RMB WineX to sniff, sip and swirl more than 1 100 of South Africa's greatest wines. In a vote of confidence for favourites at the show, 1 463 ballots were cast in the 2010 Best Wines on Show poll with Viognier dominating in the white wine category and Pinotage again victor in the reds.

Sponsored this year by wine glass producer Riedel, the poll represents one of the most detailed consumer research exercises conducted within the wine industry. Vrede en Lust and Diemersfontein topped this year's rankings, with the following wines receiving a resounding thumbs up from those who attended the Show.
