2010 Fine Art Global launch at Cavendish Square

The official VIP global retail launch of the 2010 International Fine Art Collection took place at Cavendish Square on the evening of 11 May - exactly one month before the first whistle of the first-ever African FIFA World Cup.

Created by 160 of the world's leading contemporary artists from the 32 nations participating in the tournament, the exhibition embodies the passion and excitement of the tournament.

The exhibition will be at Cavendish until end July. Guests at the function were able to meet a selection of the international artists behind these amazing works and also had the chance to acquire signed limited-edition prints before they went on sale around the world. Kenyan-born artist Mutheki demonstrated his skills live at the launch.

Also present at the launch function were Selwyn Pekeur (South Africa), Virginia Holden (Paraguay), William Riquelme (Paraguay), and Alejandro Mondria (Mexico).
