Challenges for managers

This event offers South African delegates a rare opportunity to learn the 'how' directly from this leading international leadership expert and best-selling author, global thought leader in executive and team coaching and founder and Emeritus Chairman of the Bath Consultancy Group.

"For many managers, two of the most difficult transitions to make as they rise through the ranks of the organisation are their ability to effectively lead, inspire and influence people (emotional intelligence) and shifting their operational focus (which has served them well up to this point), to take on more of a big-picture, strategic perspective, which means obtaining their operational results through their teams," explains Barbara Walsh, director of Metaco.

"Most managers know what they should be doing but they very often do not know how to do it. Attending this evening seminar, where Hawkins discusses his latest research and practical experience with high-performing boards and leadership teams will provide foundational learning. He introduces a proven framework and 12 key practices to assist leaders and coaches to achieve improved results through their teams."

Systemic Coaching workshop

For those wishing to achieve more, Metaco will run 'Systemic Team Coaching'. This intensive experiential 3-day workshop is for executive and senior leaders of teams who feel they could be achieving more through their people. It is also for experienced coaches and consultants who wish to increase the value they deliver to the teams they work with.

"You can expect more focused managers working on their own goals, less time wasted on unnecessary activities and drama and more productive teams, delivering better business results," continues Walsh.

Participants will be introduced to the Hawkins 5 Disciplines Model of Team Coaching. A range of coaching tools and processes for each of the 5 Team Disciplines will be defined and Hawkins will illustrate how these have been used in a wide variety of organisations. Delegates will learn how to practically engage, contract and relate with teams in their own context, to obtain buy-in and commitment; and the stages of developing the team through coaching to achieve system-wide value and sustainable high performance.

Hawkins has placed a strict limit on the number of participants at each event, to ensure he can give personal attention to everyone. To register, go to the Events section on www.metaco.co.za or email az.oc.ocatem@arabrab.
