Gants Chunky Chicken wins Convenience award
Gants Chunky Chicken received the Product of The Year Award in the Convenience category at the Good Food and Wine Show held recently in Johannesburg. The product, released in July 2011, has been marketed as the ideal lunchtime companion.
"The public and trade response to the new range has been good and it reinforces our belief that while the shelves may be full of good products, a need for innovative quality products clearly exists. Winning this award goes to the heart of the market positioning and we are excited about it," says Wilson Khumalo, marketing director at Gants.
Following the award, the product will now be entered into the overall Product of The Year Awards, the finalists of which will be announced in 2012.
