Tiger Brands appoints new CFO

As a consequence of this appointment Clive Vaux, who has been acting CFO in addition to his responsibilities as Corporate Finance Director, will relinquish his acting responsibilities as CFO upon Ighodaro joining Tiger Brands, but will remain as an Executive Director.

Ighodaro is currently the CFO of Primedia, a position she has held since September 2001. She was previously an Executive Director of Kagiso Trust Investment Company and worked in corporate finance at Standard Corporate and Merchant Bank for two years.

Ighodaro qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Price Waterhouse, London, where she spent a total of ten years in audit and tax and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales. She is also an independent non-executive director of Datatec.

In conformance with the international trend to limit executive members of a board to the Chief Executive Officer of the company and the finance function, Neil Brimacombe and Bongiwe Njobe who are currently executive directors of the board have resigned as members of the board with effect from 30 April, while retaining their executive management responsibilities.
