Capricorn is launching its revamped website, which has a number of features aimed at improving interaction with listeners. It will be used by the station to drive on-air campaigns via the web as well as clients' promotions.

In addition, it has also launched a new frequency, which will cover the whole of the Waterberg district, an area in which the station experienced weak and unsatisfactory signal/reception. This frequency is 91.7 FM and it completes the station's coverage of the province and makes it accessible to all five districts of Limpopo. The station broadcasts 70% in English and 30% vernacular, incorporating the three dominant ethnic groups in the province (Venda, Pedi, Tsonga) on a 24-hour basis with six transmitters.

Capricorn FM's CEO Simphiwe Mdlalose says, “We want to use this month as a way of improving our communication with our listeners as we improve our coverage.

“The station will also be launching on the DSTV audio channels towards the end of this month. This development will ensure that we are now heard all over South Africa and also in the eleven other African states carried on the platform,” he concludes.
