Mantis launches collection of exclusive-use homes

Mantis Owners Collection (MOC) offering a selection of 25 exclusive-use homes, villas and boats - including private homes that have never before been available to stay in before - is the latest addition to Mantis, joining the Mantis Collection and Mantis extreme portfolios.

The select is carefully curated from diverse destinations around the world – from South Africa to Sri Lanka, Scotland to the Seychelles. Each MOC property offers an understanding of the owner - an insight into how they came to have homes in the various locations, as well as their reason and passion for the destination, its people and culture.

Adrian Gardiner, founder of MOC, comments, “Over the years I have acquired a handful of homes in the most desired parts of the world and I don’t get to visit them often enough. It dawned on me that I should create a collection; a way to share these beautiful properties with others. As the collection began, I soon realised that there are other homeowners who are also keen to share their second or third homes with travellers. Before we knew it, we had 25 private, handpicked properties on board… and so Mantis Owners Collection was created.”

Residences

The Nelson Mandela Centre for Reconciliation on Shambala Private Game Reserve, South Africa is a leading example of the type of property uniquely available with the MOC collection. This magnificent, five-suite private home gave the late, former South African President, Nelson Mandela the opportunity to work uninterrupted in peace and solitude. This is the first time the magical abode in the Limpopo Province has been available to stay in.

Another MOC home is Residence on the Rocks on the magical island of Mahé, Seychelles. Owned by renowned photographer and conservationist Karl Ammann, this four-suite villa sits in a stunning location overlooking Intendance Bay, steps away from a secluded beach. A fusion of Creole and colonial style, this eclectic home is surrounded by untouched rainforest, yet only 3km away from the town of Takamaka. Aiming to raise awareness of the manmade issues facing our wildlife, income from guests’ stays goes towards Karl’s conservation work.

Tucked into the side of the Solaise Mountain with jaw-dropping views of the Manchet Valley and Vanoise National Park, Le Chardon Mountain Lodge offers guests the ultimate, luxury ski experience. The five chalets offer five-course meals beside roaring log fires, private hot tubs and massages.

All properties in the Mantis Owners Collection offer in-house services including daily housekeeping, private chef, attentive butler and a house manager who is available to advise and arrange activities and excursions in the surrounding area. The list of homes around the world uphold the Mantis philosophy of recognising the importance of nature, culture and beauty whilst offering guests the ultimate in bespoke accommodation.
