Adrian Gardiner, founder of MOC, comments, “Over the years I have acquired a handful of homes in the most desired parts of the world and I don’t get to visit them often enough. It dawned on me that I should create a collection; a way to share these beautiful properties with others. As the collection began, I soon realised that there are other homeowners who are also keen to share their second or third homes with travellers. Before we knew it, we had 25 private, handpicked properties on board… and so Mantis Owners Collection was created.”

This magnificent, five-suite private home gave the late, former South African President, Nelson Mandela the opportunity to work uninterrupted in peace and solitude. This is the first time the magical abode in the Limpopo Province has been available to stay in.

Owned by renowned photographer and conservationist Karl Ammann, this four-suite villa sits in a stunning location overlooking Intendance Bay, steps away from a secluded beach. A fusion of Creole and colonial style, this eclectic home is surrounded by untouched rainforest, yet only 3km away from the town of Takamaka. Aiming to raise awareness of the manmade issues facing our wildlife, income from guests’ stays goes towards Karl’s conservation work.
