Seminar offers useful hints for buyers, sellers

For a donation of R10 per person, a wealth of advice will be presented by Pam Golding Properties in association with Ooba mortgage originators, ER Brown Inc legal firm and Linda Payne Attorneys. The proceeds of the donations will go to the local Peter Pan School for handicapped children.

"This event will equip anyone who is selling or buying a home, with first-hand, relevant advice from specialists in the field related to the various aspects that are involved in a property transaction, including obtaining finance and the legal considerations and obligations," says Barbara Becker, area principal for Pam Golding Properties in Pietermaritzburg.

"It's a fact that today the process requires professional agents who are trained and qualified and also knowledgeable about the legalities of the transaction process, and relevant legislation, including the National Credit Act and the Consumer Protection Act.
