Opening doors for distribution centre conference

In the highly competitive retail sector where product availability is crucial and consumers expect their brand of choice to be on the shelves of their preferred supermarket all the time, 11 industry experts aim to address the fundamental issues of supply and demand at the 2nd Annual Best Practices for Modern Distribution Centres conference this July.

In the current economic climate of high interest rates and rising costs, predicting demand is becoming more difficult. Coping with this fluctuating demand requires the external supply chain to be flexible and is a significant factor in the continuing success of any FMCG business.

Cadbury South Africa, a respected global FMCG brand, and TFD Network Africa, a leading FMCG distribution company, both open their doors to visiting delegates at the upcoming 2nd Annual Best Practices for Modern Distribution Centres to showcase the processes and technology that make their supply chains efficient.

Together with these site visits, the industry experts aim to offer strategic and practical approaches to transform a distribution centre into a value-adding link in any supply chain. The two-day event is being held at the Southern Sun OR Tambo International Airport on 15 - 16 July 2008.
