The email resembles a 'chain letter' and promised 12 cases of SAB's products if an email was forwarded to '10 friends', and then copied to a company which SAB had never heard of and had no dealings with.
SAB stated that it would like to warn consumers that this is not a legitimate promotion by the company and that SAB never takes part in so-called 'chain letter' activities.
"We'd like to ask consumers please to treat this as a scam and in no way connected to SAB," the company said in a statement released yesterday, Thursday 16 August 2006.
