    Durban Jazz Festival looks to be hot this year

    The MTN Durban Jazz Festival starts at 10am on Monday 26 December 2011 at Hazelmere Dam and features local talent such as Zahara, Caiphus Semenya and Hugh Masekela, Thandiswa Mazwai, Lira, Nhlanhla Nciza and Judith Sephuma.

    "The jazz festival is another great opportunity to showcase what South Africa has to offer in music and we are proud to be part of the experience in Durban. The line-up reflects the richness of our music culture that will be enjoyed by scores of people," says Desiree Pooe, senior manager: sponsorship and events at MTN SA.

    Durban Jazz Festival looks to be hot this year

    Zakes Bantwini will be joined on stage by the BET Awards-nominated Hip-Hop act, Teargas. The festival will host up-and-coming artists, Nkulee Dube, Heels Over Head, Malini and Xolisa Dlamini. For the night revellers, the music will shift to DJ Bongs and DJ Muntu who will entertain the audience for the rest of the evening.
