Meropa appoints new MD

With immediate effect, Donald Kau will take over the MD's responsibility from chief executive Peter Mann, who will change his role within Meropa Communications. Kau joined Meropa in 2005 and was appointed an executive director in 2006.

"His appointment is an essential part of structuring Meropa for the future," Mann says. "He has earned his place in the company, and will work closely with our other senior operational directors to build and grow the firm as one of South Africa's biggest and best public relations consultancies.

"After more than 20 years of running Sussens Mann and Meropa, it is time for me to step aside, although I will continue to work full-time, advising clients and acting as a resource to the company. "
