The concept relied on athlete Haile Gebrselassie's ability to turn on a final burst of speed at the last minute, coming from third or fourth position to convincingly win his races. Researchers had to find footage of an event where this happened in suitably short screen time, and then negotiate rights to use the footage from this event.
Sounds easy? Not when you consider that most top-level events of this kind have a 'no-alcohol' policy, or reserve rights to use this content for sponsors only. The ads received extensive Pan-African flighting as well as internet exposure.
