New app for FNB employees to access Siyasiza publication
Siyasiza, the internal publication for FNB employees, has gone digital this month, as the bank launched the new Siyasiza tablet app.
Created exclusively as an extension to the existing print magazine, it will offer readers enhanced multimedia content, instant video interviews, photo galleries and up to date information.
Employee engagement
The app, produced by New Media (NMP), will be a mix of business and lifestyle information and is a powerful tool that will drive employee engagement within the business.
"Having been nominated as the most innovative bank in the world, we wanted to make sure that we keep up with the ever changing world around us. With the app, our staff will have access to important business information when on the move and will have access anywhere, anytime, in the format that is best suited to their needs," says Eloïse Boezak, head of employee engagement at FNB.
"This app is a natural extension of the bank's innovative spirit and will give our readers and staff access to a channel that suits their needs almost instantaneously."
Going digital
NMP GM customer division, Andrew Nunneley says the new tablet app offers employees a digital product utilising both iOS and Android platforms to access all the content published in the award-winning, internal communications lifestyle magazine that it produces monthly on behalf of the bank. It is distributed to 35,000 FNB employees and pensioners.
"We are very pleased to mark the beginning of another successful collaboration with NMP, with this marked evolution of our internal employee engagement platform. It also heralds the launch of an internal first as Siyasiza becomes available as a tablet app, strongly supporting the focus on innovation and ensuring that we remain relevant and accessible to our staff," concludes Boezak.
The magazine won Bronze in the Best New Launch/Relaunch category at the annual Pearl Awards in New York last year for the re-design of the August 2011 issue. To coincide with the new app launch, the printed magazine has once again undergone a facelift, with the number of pages being increased from 40 to 56 and now offered in a conveniently smaller size.
