UK ruling opens door to mesothelioma sufferers
The UK Supreme Court has ruled that a person who is exposed to even tiny amounts of asbestos and who then contracts mesothelioma has a claim for compensation from the company or persons responsible for the exposure.
The Liverpool legal firm Norman Jones, representing one of the claimants, said that the Supreme Court ruling 'sets a precedent for many thousands of asbestos-related cases likely to be brought before the courts in the next 10 to 15 years'.
