Durban metro cops arrest journalist
NEWSWATCH: eThekwini metro police arrested an e.tv journalist after he was allegedly given five seconds to move - and didn't. The free-to-air channel has slammed the arrest, reports IOL, which also reports that the ANCYL feels really let down by the media over the Facebook hate-speech furore.
For more:
- IOL: Arrested journo 'failed to comply'… Durban metro cops allegedly gave the journalist ‘five seconds' to move, and then arrested and detained him when he went over the deadline. He was covering a nurses' protest at the time.
- IOL: ANCYL 'totally disappointed' in media… The organisation is miffed over how the media handled the hate speech/ANCYL issue on Facebook; many journalists may well feel very disappointed in the ANCYL for not disowning the racist page much earlier.
