Confederations Cup media accreditation opens on 2 February

The media accreditation procedure for the FIFA Confederations Cup South Africa 2009 will begin on 2 February 2009 and close on 22 February.

Applications may be made exclusively via the FIFA Media Channel (http://media.fifa.com) - neither paper nor email will be accepted. Successful applicants will be notified and provided with further information in due course. All applications are subject to confirmation. International applicants are responsible for their own visas.

The FIFA Confederations Cup will be staged 14 - 28 June in four venues across South Africa: Johannesburg, Pretoria/Tshwane, Rustenburg and Bloemfontein/Mangaung. For more information on the FIFA Confederations Cup, including the match schedule, go to www.fifa.com/southafrica2009.

Media representatives who have not already registered for the FIFA Media Channel must do so at http://media.fifa.com as early as possible. The FIFA Media Channel is a registration-only area on FIFA.com providing media professionals with tailored content. Only registered individuals may apply for accreditation to FIFA events.
