    Cape Town stadium gets new agency

    Following a three-way pitch process that started in May 2010, Net#work BBDO Cape Town announced it has won the Cape Town stadium as a new client from the operating company, Sail StadeFrance, that will start operating the stadium from 1 November 2010.

    Net#work CT MD Erica d'Oliveira says the pitch was challenging because local government also had to be impressed by the work presented. "It needed to deliver brand creation that would turn the new stadium into a Cape Town asset, a multifunctional venue and a sustainable commercial success."

    Designer Kate Butcher says the new logo for the stadium has already been received favourably.

    Executive creative director Ivan Johnson believes the victory is due to the company's design capability, being utterly thorough in its approach and unique in its thinking.
