Universal McCann appoints new GM
Media agency Universal McCann today, Tuesday, 17 July 2007, the appointment of Nazeer Suliman as GM in order to inject continued energy and out-of-the-box thinking into the organisation.
Comments Sue Rooney, Pan African media director, “We had discussions with a few leading industry players to fill the position of general manager but Nazeer stood head and shoulders above the rest.”
Suliman plans to spark young talent at Universal McCann and denounces the perception that the market lacks talented black media people “South Africa has plenty of talent – a lot of it raw – they may not be working in “adland”, but they are there. The trick is to attract them and then reward them properly,” he says.
