The One Club, producers of the prestigious One Show Awards and Creative Week, has appointed six new members to its board of directors: Mark Tutssel, Judy John, Rei Inamoto, Pete Favat, Leslie Sims and Nick Worthington (as a member of the international board). Margaret Johnson and Tiffany Rolfe were also recently appointed to the board.

The new board members accompany a collection of industry all-stars who serve as ambassadors for and advisors to The One Club, a non-profit whose diversity and education initiatives ensure the perennial betterment of the industry. Past board members include legends such as Jeff Goodby, Dan Wieden, Bob Barrie, Ed McCabe, Jerry Della Femina, Sir John Hegarty, Lee Garfinkel and Lee Clow. Based in New Zealand, Nick Worthington joins the international board of directors, which consists of 10 members in 10 countries and was established in December of 2014 to promote the organisation’s mission in key markets around the world. “The One Club has been a stalwart of creative excellence in the industry, celebrating its legacy yet acting as a constant inspiration for the future,” said Mark Tutssel, Leo Burnett Worldwide Global Chief Creative Officer and Publicis Communications Creative Chairman. “I’m honoured to play a greater role with The One Club along with other influential figures in the business of creativity.”

“After college, I went out one day with money I'd saved to buy a new mattress and came home with a One Show annual,” said Leslie Sims, Chief Creative Officer of Y&R New York. “So from the beginning it was pretty clear I wasn't cut out for business school. Now it's just an incredible honor to be joining an amazing group of people on the board of what has always been advertising's pre-eminent textbook on how to do it right.”

“I’m thrilled and honoured to be joining The One Club Board,” said Judy John, CEO and CCO of Leo Burnett Canada. “I’ve been a huge fan of the show, the organisation, and their focus on creative development. I’m really looking forward to working with this amazing group of people.”

"The One Club stands for the highest creative integrity in our industry,” said Pete Favat, North American CCO at Deutsch. “I’m honored to be chosen to help carry that torch.”

"I feel fortunate to live in a time that we are in now,” said Rei Inamoto, founding partner of Inamoto & Co. “The next ten years of the One Club will be more dramatic than the previous ten. I couldn't be more excited."

Creative Week takes place 9 May through 13 May. Visit www.oneshow.org to view the full schedule and purchase tickets.
