morrisjones acquires Foschini

morrisjones&co has been awarded the Foschini account, with immediate effect, after a two-way pitch which included Saatchi & Saatchi (Cape), the agency announced today, Wednesday, 8 November 2006. Foschini was previously held by Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape), which was recently appointed to the Woolworths account.

Nina Morris, MD of morrisjones&co, comments that the pitch was very well run with an excellent brief. In addition, Foschini undertook to pay for all ideas presented by both agencies whether they won the account or not. "This is the way pitches should be run," continues Morris.

According to Kathryn Sakalis, Foschini marketing director, while the implementation of above-and below-the-line advertising is handled in-house along with media placement, morrisjones&co will contribute strategic creative direction and creative concepts for the account.

This is the first time that morrisjones&co will be active in the retail fashion industry sector since its inception.
