MSD communicates through the Tin Can
Merck Sharp & Dohme (Pty) Ltd (MSD) in South Africa, a subsidiary of the global research-based pharmaceutical company Merck & Co., Inc., has contracted Tin Can for a further 12 months to do PR around MSD disease communications following the first successful six month campaign.
MSD discovers, develops, manufactures and markets a broad range of products designed to save lives, improve human health and enhance patients' quality of life. MSD's products are novel medicines that represent true advances in patient care.
MSD is recognised internationally for its research in more than 20 therapeutic areas, including, but not limited to, hypertension, hypercholesterolaemia, HIV/AIDS, osteoporosis, asthma, migraine, arthritis, ophthalmics, male pattern hair loss, anti-infectives, oncology, diabetes and vaccines.
The company employs 300 people in South Africa, and operates a state-of-the-art manufacturing plant in Midrand, the site of MSD's head office.
