Show profile Hide profileMy hobbies lead to what I do today, I literally love my jobs - jobs as there are never just one.
For the love of Afrikaans, I joined the ATKV in 2000, established a writers' branch and was elected as Chairperson for a two year period. With limited knowledge I started an Afrikaans e-magazine for writers to live out their talents by being published online. My daytime job then, was Secretary / PA.
In 2006 I completed Office Practice with Bookkeeping and in 2007 I took two courses, Php & MySql at IntoWeb. This sent me in a new and exciting direction as in conjunction with my then Bookkeeper/PA & Secretary roll, I had the added responsibility of maintaining company websites.
In 2009 I landed a wonderful job at eCash in Cape Town, who employed me to install osCommerce and Magento webshops with products, in minimum time. Sadly after two years with them, they eventually left the country.
This is where things really became exciting for me. I started freelancing and since then offer hosting & design, install & tweak Wordpress to advanced systems, also design websites and develop the odd unique system or two.
Furthermore I am the Afrikaans translator and support agent, as well as profile moderator for TheDatingLab (Persuasion Lab). I proudly completed their Afrikaans language pack some 6 years ago and also maintain it. Additionally I translate their copy material for promotions and radio advertisements. Daily support to Afrikaans speaking clients is also on my list, as well as moderating profiles.
I have also translated a few Wordpress systems to Afrikaans according to each website's specific needs.
I am the ideal candidate if you want maturity, creativity, someone to remain focused and for problem solving. I think on the fly and always create or find solutions.
