Just completed my studies in Web design at Get Smarter, University of Cape Town's online program. I know the basics of HTML 5 and CSS 3, I can also implement Java for my UX and Jquery for effective, responsive design across all browsers as well as different devices.
I am awaiting my final results, but with my average achievement during the entire course, I know what the result is. I have passed it, not nearly as well as I would've wanted, but such is life. Sometimes the unforeseen happens and we take it on the chin in our stride, the core focus always being our long term goals. I can confidently assure you that I am an asset to whomever I choose to spend my time with for the next two to three years. I need to focus on core elements that are crucial to my own development. I need focused inspiration to develop my skills to the level where I can bend and shape HTML 5, CSS 3, JAVA and Jquery at will to really see what is possible. I have no lack of creativity, but am not fully equipped to reach my potential, or rather bring my vision into being. I would really enjoy spending some time in a high-stress, tight deadline and pin-point-accuracy environment. I don't handle pressure well, I'm addicted to it, addicted to the adrenaline rushing through your veins as you push and push to make it just in time...But, more than that, it's those little victories, those AHA!!! moment during such a project or period that I absolutely love. I reckon if I could, I'd marry that euphoria...
