BACKGROUND INFORMATION

Masha Media and Entertainment was founded in 2005 and was born out of the need of its founding members to create stories and images that were relevant to their combined experiences as young South Africans. It was the need to communicate unique and entertaining stories with integrity and a sharp eye for quality that inspired the founding members to form the company. We felt that we could add value to the current South African landscape of television and film. It was through our deep sense of patriotism that we wanted to create positive images of ourselves and our country that would be a balance to the often skewed western representation of our people and our country. We also understand the potential capability of television to entertain, communicate positive values and change society. Our intention is to use our respective experience and expertise to make our vision a reality.

With Tumisho Masha having over ten years experience in the media, television and film industry and Dumetse Masha having five years project planning and mechanical engineering experience as well as three years in the media and music industry, it can be said that the above mentioned shareholders have the relevant skills within the entertainment industry.
