SA DEFENCE FORCE

As a soldier with 1 Parachute Battalion our main function was to act as a primary strike force, performing counter-insurgence operations inside and across our country's national borders

SA POLICE SERVICE

As a Special Task Force operator we were called upon to perform high-risk operations under extreme and often life-threatening situations.
This includes:
• Hostage situations
• The apprehension of international terrorists and very dangerous criminals
• Search and rescue operations involving persons, munitions and physical evidence
• Across border de-mining and cache-lifting operations
• VIP and personal protection to heads of state, prominent political personae, etc.
