Good Hope FM DJ Suga to MC 46664 concert in Norway

Good Hope FM's midmorning DJ Suga has been invited to MC the international 46664 concert on June 11 in Tromsø, Norway. Having recently MC'd the 46664 concert on home ground in Fancourt, the Cape Town radio DJ will share a stage with a host of International and national ensemble of musicians and ambassadors.

DJ Suga will be MCing an impressive line up of artists including the Grammy award-winning Ladysmith Black Mambazo, Angelique Kidjo, Bongo Maffin, Brian May, Johnny Clegg, Annie Lennox, Robert Plant And The Strange Sensation, Razor Light, Sharon Corr (The Corrs) and Zucchero amongst others, who will be endorsing the HIV/AIDS awareness campaign in Nelson Mandela's presence.

Comments an ecstatic DJ Suga: "Co-hosting the 46664 Fancourt concert was a definite highlight. I am overwhelmed to be asked to be involved for a third time. What an honour to be part of this global initiative and to help promote recognition of the impact of the HIV/ Aids Pandemic from the southern most tip of Africa to the most northerly tip of the world. An honour indeed!"

"We are especially delighted that one of our hottest Good Hope FM DJs, Suga, will be involved in the prestigious 46664 concert. For Good Hope FM it means that we are not only represented amongst a gathering of musical brilliance but also in a social awareness venture," said Good Hope FM Station Manager, Helen Graham.

Made possible by a grant of 12 Million NK from Storting, the Norwegian Parliament, 46664 Arctic is the fourth 46664 concert following the recent 46664 Festival in Madrid. The 46664 Fancourt, George also took place on March 19 this year, raising over 10 Million for the Nelson Mandela Foundation. Cape Town was host to the first 46664 concert, at Green Point Stadium in 2003.

Suga MC'd the 46664 concert in Greenpoint Cape Town in 2003 and the second 46664 concert in Fancourt in 2005. Suga hosts midmornings (09h00-12h00) Monday - Friday on Cape Towns biggest station Good Hope FM. When not on air she's holding down residencies at some of Cape Town's hottest clubs.
