FNG Africa gets new GM, SVP

Fox Networks Group (FNG) has appointed Vasilis Iliopoulos senior vice president (SVP) for FNG Africa, while Evert van der Veer has been appointed as FNG Africa's new general manager (GM).

Iliopoulos will serve as FNG Africa SVP and FNG Greece GM simultaneously. As FNG Africa SVP, Iliopoulos will focus on the expansion of Fox Sports and local content production, linear/non-linear branded entertainment, and National Geographic Partners across key markets in east, west, and southern Africa.

Prior to his role as FNG Africa GM, Van der Veer had a long tenure at Viacom International Media Networks Africa, including roles as VP for Comedy Central, and the creation and execution of the programming and acquisition strategy to launch BET (Black Entertainment Television) in 2015.
