WPP appoints Simon Dingemans to its board
WPP has appointed Simon Dingemans as a non-executive director to its board.
Dingemans is a senior advisor at The Carlyle Group (NASDAQ: CG), focusing on healthcare and UK investment opportunities. From 2011 to 2019, he led major restructuring and reform efforts at GlaxoSmithKline that resulted in significant financial and operational improvements. He also led several major strategic transactions.
For 10 years, Dingemans was managing director and partner of Goldman Sachs' European M&A division and head of UK Investment Banking. In 2019/20, Dingemans was chairman of the Financial Reporting Council. He previously chaired the 100 Group, which includes finance directors of the FTSE 100 and major UK private companies.
