WPP appoints Dr. Ya-Qin Zhang appointed to board
WPP has appointed Dr. Ya-Qin Zhang to its board as a non-executive director, effective 1 January 2021. Dr. Zhang is currently the non-executive director of Fortescue Metals Group, AsiaInfo Technologies Limited and ChinaSoft International limited.
Between 2014 and 2019, he was the president of internet services and AI company, Baidu Inc, where he oversaw the company's overall technologies, emerging businesses and global operations. Prior to, he held various management positions during his 16 years at Microsoft, both in the US and in China.
