Hour-long Egoli for five days

M-Net will be screening five special hour-long episodes of their popular soapie Egoli, from January 6 to 10, between 18h00 and 19h00. Says head writer Frans Kalp about the digression from the usual 30-minute episode format: "For these episodes we worked with the structure and dramatic rhythm of a drama series which differs completely from that of a daily soap opera. As is often found in drama series, we also applied themes to the different episodes - for instance jealousy on Monday, revenge for Tuesday and of course passion for Friday night."
