ShowMax introduces prepaid vouchers

ShowMax vouchers will soon be available in more than 200 Massmart and Edcon stores nationwide. This is part of their drive to broaden access to internet TV. The internet TV service, owned by Naspers, will see ShowMax vouchers going on sale in 125 Game stores, and over 100 CNA stores across South Africa. These vouchers have been on sale in Pick n Pay since December 2015. Internet TV is growing in South Africa, but access is limited as the services often require payment with credit card. Three voucher options will be available - one month subscription for R99, three months subscription for R297, and six months subscription for R594. Once purchased, the voucher is activated in-store and the voucher code can then be entered into the ShowMax website initiating the customer's subscription.
