A bounty on their heads
East Coast Radio has offered a reward of R10 000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of the two attackers who gouged out the eyes of their victim in Kwa Mashu last week. The mugging, which left 19-year-old Bongani Ngonyama without his sight, had East Coast Radio listeners reeling in disbelief. The newly launched Bokomo Big Breakfast show, hosted by Alan Khan & Sorisha Naidoo, had the young victim in the studio and listeners were urged to call in and offer Bongani help with regards to future employment and payment of hospital bills. Independent Newspapers and East Coast Radio have pooled resources and raised over R50 000 so far.
