Braamfontein celebrates Mandela Day

The Braamfontein Improvement District (BID), responsible for the maintenance of the Braamfontein precinct, celebrated Nelson Mandela Day at Sappi Park in Braamfontein, on the corner of Ameshof and Loveday Street, behind the Joburg Theatre. There were performances by marimba and brass bands, choral music and poetry. Donations of blankets and non-perishable food were collected.
