New communications head at Absa
Former Transnet head of corporate and public affairs John Dludlu joined Absa on 10 August 2010 as the group executive responsible for group communication. He is a former journalist and was editor of the Sowetan 2002-2004, spent nearly 10 years at Business Day and briefly served as the newspaper's acting deputy editor. A graduate of Rhodes University's School of Journalism and Media Studies, he supports its John Dludlu Scholarship for Ethical Journalism and is also one of the longest-serving judges of the Mondi Shanduka Print Journalism Awards.
