Fifth HD channel for DStv
The new M-Net Movies 1 HD channel, a simulcast of M-Net Movies 1, will be available to DStv Premium subscribers from 1 October 2010, MultiChoice announced on Friday, 17 September 2010. This brings the total number of DStv high definition channels to five, the others being M-Net HD, Discovery HD Showcase, SuperSport HD and SuperSport HD 2. "High definition channels are the fastest growing product globally and therefore our focus is on rolling out as many HD channels as possible onto the DStv platform, taking into account bandwidth restrictions," comments Aletta Alberts, GM: content for MultiChoice Africa.
