Critics may be slating the latest film version of Dr Seuss' The Cat in the Hat but that hasn't stopped it becoming North America's top box office earner. The success of the kiddie flick starring Mike Myers, which cost $110 million to produce, is widely being attributed to an intensive $100 million advertising and related marketing drive along with an array of partners from fast-food chains to breakfast cereal companies.
