Yaba: connecting the little guy
Local telecoms company Yaba Connect has teamed up with Cell C to bring low-cost telecoms services to under-serviced areas. Yaba Connect says Cell C's low call rates have provided the opportunity for businesses in low-income or non-urban areas to become competitive. Yaba Connect plans to roll out VoIP and broadband services in its community centres in the near future, bringing additional services and benefits to small businesses in rural areas.
