SANEF to launch regional editors' forum
The South African National Editors’ Forum (SANEF) is looking at involving editors from most SADC countries in the launch of a regional editors' forum to promote cooperation on training, press freedom issues and the improvement of quality in journalism. An initial meeting with six editors from various print sectors in the SADC region has already been held. Mathath Tsedu, SANEF chairman, says that the idea is to create an organisation like SANEF in other SADC countries, and then unify those organisations with SANEF to create a Southern African entity.
