Media will not be restricted – Pahad

Business Day reports that on Tuesday, 15 May 2007, Essop Pahad, Minister in the Presidency, said in Parliament that there will be no effort to curb media freedom and that the Government “had no intention of interfering with media freedom, and would obviously take seriously suggestions that proposed amendments to the Films and Publications Act would have this result”.
