Bringing a wealth of experience to the MDDA
Lumko Mtimde has been appointed as the new CEO of the Media Development and Diversity Agency (MDDA), with effect from 1 July 2006. Mtimde is a former councillor of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa, a founder member of the community radio movement of South Africa, an active member of AMARC Africa, the World Association of Community Broadcasters, and also sits in various bodies dealing with communications regulations in Africa.
