Idols.co.za snatched by fans

Two enterprising guys from Cape Town, Jason Elk and Gerry de Abreu, have started a fan site for Idols, M-Net's reality contest show. And so quick-off-the-mark were they that they managed to pip M-Net to registration of the www.Idols.co.za domain. Using it as a base for establishing the Idols Fan Club, the site is already attracting nearly half a thousand unique visits per day, with possible sponsorship in the pipeline. Meanwhile M-Net will be launching their own Idols site, to be hosted on the www.mnet.co.za URL.
